Synthetic gathers and seismic sections

Here is an example of a seismic section approximation by using the exploding reflectors method. This result was obtained using a full-wave modeling and synthetic gathers from the same initial model. Either of the seismic gathers (stacking and pre-stack migration) and seismic sections can be then used as initial data to obtain seismic images of the exploration target.
